Funeral services for John Powers, 77, of Lubbock, will be at 3 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Interment will be at Resthaven. John went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 22nd.
John was born on March 20, 1934 in Lubbock to Herff and Minnie Adams Powers. He was a Lubbock High graduate and received a degree in Agriculture from Texas Tech. John retired from the USDA and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Richard Powers of Lubbock, and several cousins and other friends.
