Johnny spent 37 years in the pallet business, working for IFCO Pallet Company until his retirement. In his younger years, he was an avid slow-pitch softball player and loved being around the game. As his boys grew older and became involved in baseball, Johnny dedicated much of his time to Little League, eventually serving as President of the Big Spring National Little League. Later in life, he developed a deep love for golf, a hobby that friends and family would probably say became a bit of an addiction. He enjoyed countless days on the golf course doing what he loved.
Above all else, Johnny loved his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather who was proud of his children and grandchildren and treasured the time spent with them.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Butch and Ronnie Palmer; and his sister, Barbara Jean Kuehne.
He is survived by his daughter, Katina Carlile and husband Kevin; his sons, Josh Palmer and wife Stephanie, and Dusty Palmer and wife Marissa; his brother, Danny Palmer and wife Sandy; and five grandchildren who adored him: Skye, Kameron, Brayden, Adyson, and Ava. He is also survived by a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
