Kent Ball, 65, of Littlefield, Texas, was called home on January 20, 2025. Born on September 6, 1959, in Littlefield, Texas, to James and Sonja Ball, Kent’s life was one of deep love, unwavering integrity, and a fierce devotion to his family.
A visitation service is scheduled for Monday, January 27, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5740 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Littlefield, Texas, and livestreamed on Facebook by the group, Follow Thru & Friends, followed by a burial at Littlefield Memorial Park.
On May 25, 1995, Kent married the love of his life, Tonie Ball. Together, they built a life full of love, adventure, and cherished memories. Kent’s admiration for Tonie and their children was boundless. He was incredibly proud of his family and always made them feel seen, loved, and supported.
Kent was a man of exceptional wisdom and moral character. He was known for his ability to tell captivating stories that would light up a room, making everyone hang on his every word. A brilliant and thoughtful man, he had a way of making the simplest moments feel profound. His sharp mind and infectious personality were just part of what made him unforgettable.
An avid hunter and lover of the outdoors, Kent found peace and joy in hunting, fishing, and camping, and he embraced every opportunity to connect with nature. His sharp eye and steady hand made him a skilled hunter, and his adventurous spirit never waned. Above all, Kent’s life was marked by his integrity and his unshakable commitment to his family. When it came to protecting his loved ones, he was a man of action, always putting them first.
Kent worked as a chemical sales representative for Dairy Dynamics, and he was known for his strong work ethic, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Even when he wasn’t at work, Kent was always doing something—whether helping family, friends, or simply being there for those who needed him.
Kent is survived by his beloved wife, Tonie Ball; his children, Brigitte and Kyle Yeager, Britney and Chris Limon, Brittany and Vinnie Villanueva, and Paige Brown; and his grandchildren, Jaden, Emma, Vince, Evan, Gavin, Ashlynn, Saegan, Madison, and Saelor. He is also survived by his brother, Scott Ball, and wife Pam.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sonja Ball; his uncle, Keith Dickson; and his aunt, Pauletta Pruitt. He had many dogs throughout his life, all of whom were treated like royalty and went everywhere with him. His current dog, Lucy, will miss him dearly.
Kent’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of strength, wisdom, and love will continue to bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
