Lamoine Peveler

Lamoine Tune Peveler passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the age of 85 in Lubbock, TX. A celebration of her life will be held in the Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel on Wednesday, August 14 at 10:00am. The family will have a visitation time at Resthaven on Tuesday from 7-9:00p.m.

Lamoine was a lifetime educator whose compassion for touching the lives of young children lead her to dedicate over 30 years to teaching preschool and kindergarten. She felt it was her mission field and hundreds of lives were changed by her love.

Lamoine was born in Lamesa, Tx on June 10, 1928. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1945 and received her bachelors degree in elementary education from Texas Technological College in 1950. Lamoine married Wayne Peveler on August 20, 1950, in Lubbock and they later became charter members of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Ken Peveler and Linda Klibanow and daughters Shayna Peveler & Natalie Klibanow of LaCanada, California; John and Cheryl Peveler Anthony and son Matthew Anthony of Lubbock, Texas; Brenda Averett and children LaTresa Peveler & William Averett of Lubbock, Texas; and Michael and Lisa Ortega Peveler and children Austin Peveler & Sydney Peveler of Rockwall, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne and her grandson David Anthony.
