Laylan Wade Stapp departed from this earth on June 27, 2014. He was born to Larry and Joy Stapp on December 22, 1976. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1995 and Texas Tech University in 2000. After graduation he worked at Texas A&M Experiment Station for 11 years, then went on to a successful career with AFLAC for 9 years. He was known for loving life. He liked to travel, play golf, fly and spend time with family and friends. He was also an active member of the Masons, holding the title of 32nd degree Master Mason.
Survivors include his first wife, Autumn Stapp, of Lubbock; two brothers, Len Stapp of Lubbock and Gregory Doty of Dallas; sisters, Lesha Sanchez of Flower Mound, Sonja Keating of Conroe; Damian Guevara and Liana DeVall of Abilene; 11 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be Monday July 7 at 2:00 pm at Greenlawn Church of Christ. Condolences may be offered at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com
