I just learned today of sweet Linda's passing.  I was in exercise class with her for many years.  She was a very positive and encouraging person.  I enjoyed my time with her in class so much.   My prayers and sympathy to the family.

Held, rocked, fed, cleaned, diapered, played with, sang to, prayed for and taught about Jesus.  There are a few of the things that Ms. Linda did for my boys, Chase and Chandler, for many, many years at Highland Baptist Church in the baby nursery and preschool Sunday School.  There was another Ms. Linda in the preschool area at that time, who we also loved, but when attempting to differentiate between the two, when Chandler was three years old, he affectionately dubbing this Ms. Linda as "Our favorite Ms. Linda"!  I told her about that moniker so many years ago, but she turned that affection back in our direction and told me how much she loved my boys and what a good job I was doing as a mom.
I never left her presence that I did not feel loved and encouraged, so much so, that I selfishly volunteered in the preschool area and always requested to serve in her room.  She would smile and laugh and tell me about her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren.  We also talked a lot about baseball. 
As my boys grew and left the preschool area they would make a point to stop on their way in to worship each week to hug "Our favorite Ms. Linda" and Mr. Buddy.  As for me, I continued to volunteer and continued to request to serve with her.  
My boys are twenty years old now, but we still call her "Our favorite Ms. Linda." 
It was clear to all who knew her that loving children was the ministry of her heart, but I wonder if she knew what a great blessing she was to the mother's of those children.
I am profoundly grateful for the influence she had on the masses of children that have passed through her arms at HBC, especially mine.  I am a better woman, mother, wife, friend, servant, and Christ follower because of the time that I spent with "Our favorite Ms. Linda."

Dear Buddy, Girls and Family,

We were so sad to learn of Linda's passing.  She was truly a beautiful person and had such a loving heart for others.  I know she was so proud of her family and you all were very blessed to have someone as special as her in your lives.  She will always be with you, as her memories are forever in your hearts.  I am sorry we can't be there to honor her at the service today, but know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We pray that God will put his loving arms around each of you and give you comfort, strength and peace as you go through this difficult time.  But also remember to rejoice for Linda as she enters into her new Heavenly home where there is no suffering,  and she gets to meet Jesus and be with loved ones who have gone before her.  What a glorious day!   May God bless each of you with his love.

Linda was  one of my cousins, a very special cousin whom I Loved so very much. Even tho their were many miles separating us ,we didn’t see each other often, but when we did it was a party we just clicked.
Linda named her first child after me, Lisa Dianne, I was honored.
