Margie married Merle Combs on January 25, 1951, and together they raised three children. She was a proud and faithful member of First Foursquare Church, where she had a deep passion for serving and supporting the church.
Margie will always be remembered for the birdhouses lovingly built by Daddy and painted by her, treasured keepsakes that reflected her creativity, love, and the joy she found in sharing her talents with others.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Combs; parents, Jess and Nova Boswell; her siblings, L.H. Boswell, Peggy, June, Billy Boswell, and Donald Boswell; and one child, Bobby Combs.
She is survived by her siblings, Kenneth Boswell, Shirley Eves, Royce Boswell, and Wilma Poole; her children, Pat Ethridge and Merlene Woodard; her grandchildren, Johnny Brian, Alisha Griffiths, Cristy Scott, Zach Combs, Joey Woodard, and Coey Woodard; her great-grandchildren, Jade, Ethan, Shaylie, Piper, Krystalyne, Austin, and Slayden; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lubbock Meals on Wheels.
