

The daughter of Scottish immigrants, Jean earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and RN certification at the University of Pennsylvania. She taught nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, Michigan State University and South Plains College.
Jean loved her husband, Bill, her children and her grandchildren. Her devotion to family found expression in many creative ways. In 1962, Jean designed one of Lubbock’s few contemporary style homes, planned for family time and entertaining. Family Circle Magazine honored Jean as the 1969 “Southwest Homemaker of the Year.”
In 1995, Jean and Bill formed a family authoring partnership, and coauthored five Texty Award winning computer textbooks. The Pasewark LTD was awarded the 2008 “Texas Business of the Year” award from the Texas Business and Technology Education Association.
Jean’s memberships and service include: First United Methodist Church - Hi Robinson Sunday School, Sanctuary Choir, Lay Hospital Ministry, Sunday school teacher; Junior League of Lubbock; Trowel and Error Garden Club; Lubbock Women’s Club; Texas Tech Museum docent; and Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Jean and Bill were PTA presidents at Mackenzie Junior High and Coronado High schools. Dedicated to youth, Jean lead one of Lubbock’s largest Brownie Girl Scout troops and was active in First United Methodist Church youth programs.
Survivors include her husband, Bill, with whom she was married 61 years; Bill Pasewark, Jr., his wife Mary, and children Graham and Duncan; Beth, her husband Harry Wadsworth, and children Ann and Katherine; Jan, her husband Frank Stogner, and children Alison and Charlie; Carolyn, her husband Mark Denny, and children Travis and his wife Brittany, and David; Scott Pasewark, his wife Heather, and children Wesley and Preston; Su, her husband Larry Hess, and daughter Maggie.
In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials are the EverLiving Trust at First United Methodist Church, Lubbock, or a charity of your choice.
