Martha Frances Culpepper

Martha Frances Mae Culpepper was born April 28, 1918 in Lynn County, TX to Tom M. Lawson and Frances Mae Rice Lawson. She married Olus L. Culpepper on Jan. 31, 1942. He preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1984. She has one daughter, Sharron Lashaway and husband Ray; and one son, Eugene Culpepper and wife Paula, all of Lubbock, TX. Martha was a longtime member of the Idalou community. Martha went to be with the Lord Sept. 5, 2016 at the age of 98. Martha was blessed with nine grandchildren; Tamara Everitt and family of Seminole, TX, Jeff Lashaway and family of Lubbock, TX, Tim Culpepper and family of Lubbock, TX, Jay Lashaway and family of Seminole, TX, Joel Lashaway and family of Meridian, Idaho, Tina Hays and family of Lubbock, TX, Trent Phillips and family of Lubbock, TX, Christy Butler and family of Muleshoe, TX, Whitney Kruse and family of Lubbock, TX, and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and seven brothers; Ollie, Jim, Guy, Nate, Ellis, Tom, and Les Lawson. Martha was a farmer’s wife, loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
