Mary Lue Baker, of Lubbock, age 83 passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Mary Lue was born on March 2nd, 1941, in Ovalo, TX. The 10th of 12 kids and born to Bevie Eugene and Alva Marie Gladden. She graduated from Frenship High School in 1959. She me the love of her life Dwain Baker while in High School & married him August 14th, 1959, in Hurlwood, TX. They were married 63 years until his passing. Together they had 2 sons Curtis and Ken. Mary Lue worked at the Lubbock cotton classifying office for several years before joining her husband at their family business Baker Electric as the bookkeeper until her retirement in 2007. Mary Lue loved traveling with Dwain in the motorhome & could very rarely pass up a casino. She also loved going to Texas Tech men's & women's basketball games, but most of all she loved spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers, & 4 sisters. She is survived by sons Curtis Baker ( Marcy), Ken Baker (Jennifer), grandchildren Dustin Baker (Tawni), Kendra Bernstein, Lane Baker, 5 great grandchildren, a sister Kay Patterson & numerous nieces, nephews & friends. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday March 3rd from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at Resthaven on Tuesday, March 4th at 1 pm with committal to follow.
