Mickey Lynn Jones

She was a proud graduate of Amarillo High School, class of 1965, and later went on to Amarillo Jr. College, South Plains College, and Texas Tech University where she became a Surgical Tech and worked for University Medical Center.

Mickey had a passion for animals and will always be remembered for her animal rescues.

Mickey is lovingly remembered by her family, including her brothers, J Michael Jones (Martha) and Darel Jones (Debra), as well as several nieces and nephews; Michelle (David) Dominguez, Chris Jones, Heather Fulton (John), Eric Jones (Abby), J Matthew Jones, and Melissa Willingham (Thomas). Her life also touched many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, JP Jones, and her mother, Mary A. Jones Malone.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2025, from 10 am to 11am at Resthaven Funeral Home 5740 W. 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79407, followed by a graveside service at 11am in Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Sleep Cat Sanctuary of Lubbock, honoring Mickey’s love for animals and her compassionate spirit.
