Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 6-8 Pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011at 10:00 AM at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel, burial will follow in resthaven Memorial Park.

Mickey Gene Turner was born on May 7, 1955 in Lubbock to Myrkle and Agnes Turner. He served in the United States Navy serving a tour of duty in Vietnam, during the Vietnam War. He was a firefighter at Reece Air Force Base until tranfering to Dyess Air Force Base totaling over 20 years. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle coast to coast, and flying hot air balloons. He was a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his children, Quincy Turner and his wife Jennifer and Stacey Steward and her husband Bryan all of Lubbock, grandchildren; Cole, Jeremy and Brett Turner, Kayleigh and Kade Steward, two brothers; Jack Turner of Tyler and Bob Turner of Lubbock, three sisters; Nita Huff of Plains, Barbara Sue Small of Wolfforth, Brenda McClintock of Arlington, and several nieces and nephews.
