Moncure "Pat" MacKenzie

Moncure “Pat” MacKenzie, age 94, died on December 18, 2015. She was born on November 26, 1921, to Raleigh Jack Carter and Natalee Smith. Pat graduated from Texas Technological College where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

She married H.J. MacKenzie in San Diego, CA in 1942. She was a member of numerous community organizations including the Junior League of Lubbock, Chapter AA of the P.E.O. sisterhood, and the Trowel and Error Garden Club. Pat is preceded in death by her husband H. J. and her son Scott Carter MacKenzie. She is survived by her son, Neal S. MacKenzie and wife Cheryl; Scott’s wife Mary Ann; grandchildren, Carter MacKenzie, Mollianne MacKenzie Carter and husband Clay, Nealy MacKenzie Holley and husband Matt, and Morgan MacKenzie and wife Melanie; great-grandchildren, Scott Carter MacKenzie III, Madeline Carter, Caleb Carter, Avery MacKenzie, Alexa MacKenzie and Anderson MacKenzie.

In lieu of flowers, Pat requests that donations be made to the Memorial Fund at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1510 Avenue X, Lubbock, TX 79410, the Carillon Foundation, 1717 Norfolk Avenue, Lubbock TX, 79416 or South Plains Food Bank, 4612 Locust Avenue, Lubbock, TX, 79404.
