Ray King

Norris Ray King of Lubbock went home with his Lord on February 24, 2010 at the age of 61. Norris Ray was born in Clovis N.M., to the late Norris Leroy and Correne Elizabeth (Morgan) King. Ray, as he was so affectionately called married Sharon Hall in April of 1970. He graduated from Morton High School in 1968 and Stephen F. Austin in 1974 with a BS in Forestr. Ray and his family moved back to Lubbock in 1978. He worked for a company which is now called the Custom Food Group Company, and he was with them for over 32 years before his passing. Ray is preceded in death by his parents. The survivors he leaves behind to cherish his memories are his wife Sharon and daughters Christie and husband Randall Hust, and Kellye Edge, both of Lubbock, TX. Ray loved and will also be missed by his 3 grandchildren; Trevor and RaeLeigh Hust and Wyatt Edge. He is also survived by his sisters Jean and husband Paul Wilson, and Kay and husband Claude Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, February 26th from 6 to 8 pm. at Resthaven Funeral Home. And the Funeral Service for Ray is 11 am Saturday, February 27th at Broadview Baptist Church 1302 N. Frankford with Ed Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven’s Memorial Park.
