

Services for Ronnie H. Locklin, 75 of Denver City, will be at 2 pm, Monday, March 5th, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church, Denver City, with Brother Steve Pierson and Brother Jessie Garcia, officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver City Cemetery. Ronnie went to be with his Lord and Savior early Friday morning, March 2nd.
Ronnie was born on April 12, 1936 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Dee and Nora Gentry Locklin. He graduated from High School in McCamey, Texas where he married Lela Bell Johnson on August 26, 1956. He retired after 33 years with Texaco as a Tech. Ronnie was an member of Trinity Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for a number of years.
In earlier years, Ronnie was active with the Little Dribblers and was a little league baseball coach. He enjoyed the outdoors,
including hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Locklin in October 24, 2011.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lela; 2 sons, Ronnie Dee Locklin and wife, Mary of Levelland, and Roddy Locklin and wife, Audrey of Lubbock; 1 daughter, Lorri L. Minter and husband, Billy of Denver City; one brother, Billy Locklin of McCamey, TX; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Ratliff Funeral Home in Denver City, Texas on Sunday, March 4th, from 3-5 pm. The family suggests memorials to Trinity Baptist Church or Accolade Hospice.
