Sean Paul "Herman" Sandlin

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 10:00 am in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 form 6-8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Sean was born on April 25, 1974 to Steve and Jalain Sandlin in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Frenship High School in 1992, than began his full time career with Matthew's Backhoe where he has been employed for over 20 years. He was a member of South Plains Church of Christ. He was a family man and loved his 2 neices with all his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the garden and restoring old cars. Welding was a passion in his spare time; he built and designed several smokers.

He is survived by his mother Jalain Sandlin; one brother and his wife, Josh and Anna Sandlin: two nieces, Haley and Sydnie Sandlin; two grandmothers, Reba Matthews and Peggy Robbins; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Steve Sandlin and grandfathers, Roy Matthews and Ray Sandlin, Jr.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the New Mexico Christian Children’s Home, 1356 New Mexico 236,Portales, New Mexico 88130.
