Shad Campbell, 54, passed away on 12/29/2023. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tracie Wallis, parents, Bill and Shirley Campbell, siblings, William Campbell and Courtney Campbell, sister-in-law, Caitlin Campbell, and nephews, Forest, Elliott, and Isaac Campbell. He was preceded in death by his Grandmommy, and paternal grandparents, Big Bill and Patsy Campbell.
Shad fell in love with theater while attending Coronado High School in Lubbock. He attended Sam Houston State University, and after graduating from West Texas State A&M Shad pursued his career in Syracuse, NY, and Las Vagas, NV. He also lived and worked in California, Florida, and Dallas, TX. Shad had a passion for lighting design and had a long career as a Lighting Designer, most recently with Texas Lighting.
Shad loved his rescue Beagles, and his patience and kindness was evident in the way he would care for them. He and Tracie were always planning their next adventure to satisfy his love of travel. He enjoyed golfing, and if the Dallas Cowboys or Toronto Maple Leafs were playing, he was watching.
His friendly and laid-back spirit was infectious. His kind and caring nature was evident in the way he looked after his Grandmommy, and in the active role he took in caring for his in-laws. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life memorial service for Shadley will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel, 5740 19th St., Lubbock, Texas with Deacon Michael Kenny officiating.
