Sue Wyatt

In the early morning hours of Friday April 19, 2013, Sue Wyatt, 74, of Lubbock, took the hand of her God and went to her eternal home where she is now at peace. Funeral services for Sue will be at 9:30a.m. on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at Lakeridge United Methodist Church. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends on Monday April 22nd from 5 – 7:00p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Sue Oldham was born on September 28, 1938 in Lubbock County to Boyd and Faye Oldham. She graduated from New Deal High School in 1957. She attended Wayland College, Texas Tech where she graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Received her Masters in Computer Education. She taught for L.I.S.D for over 35 years. Sue married Wayne Wyatt on September 10, 1960. They were married for over 52 years.

Sue was a long time member of Lakeridge Methodist Church. She used the talents God gave her by making people feel comfortable and assisting them in any way she could, thus making many friends along the way. Her favorite pastimes included playing Bridge, traveling, spending time with Wayne at their cabin in Ruidoso, and most of all, spending time with their grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Wayne Wyatt; children, Krysta (Tom Shutt), Vince Wyatt (Ashleigh), and Keli Duncan (Dustin); grandchildren, Drew, Devynne, Zach, Gabriel, Madeline, and Griffin; and brother, Jerry Oldham (Jan).
