He was a founding member of the Full Gospel Businessmen, served as president of the Downtown Lions Club, supported the Boy Scouts, and invested his time and energy into numerous Christian ministries. He was also a founding sponsor of the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter and had a lifelong passion for the book of Genesis, sharing its truths with enthusiasm and joy.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his brother-in-law, Andy Jamison; and his in-laws, Joe and Joyce Pope.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; sister, Kim Bates (Steve); daughter, Heather Purcell (Chris); son, Matt Greenhaw (Heather); brother-in-law, Joe Pope (Nancy); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and extended family. His influence will continue to live on in each of them.
