

Willie L. Kitchens, 76 of Lubbock, Texas was born September 1, 1936 in Stratford, Oklahoma. He grew up in Maple and Lubbock, Texas and fondly remembered his childhood days on the farm. He attended Lubbock High School. He Served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1966 and was stationed in Korea. Throughout his life he delivered milk for Bell Dairies, barbered at Marshall’s Barber Shop, managed ABC Vending and eventually retired from GE Service at Appliance Center in Lubbock, Texas.
He was a member of Westview Baptist Church of Slaton, TX. Love of God and family were his true passions in life. Remembering the old stories was his favorite way of passing the time.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Kim (Dennis) Jones of Lubbock, his son Kirk (Tiffiny) Kitchens of Slaton, his daughter Cheryl Hall of Lubbock and his son Brad (Cathie) Adcock of Lubbock, his sister Wanda Bearden of Lubbock and his sister Phaye (Roy) Probst of Cleveland, Ohio as well as 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dickie Sue Kitchens on November 6th, 2012. He was preceded in death by his loving parents I.D. and Roxie Kitchens, his wife Glenda, his son, Lance and sister Charlotte Mullins.
Celebration of life service will be officiated by Reverend Kirk Kitchens at 10:00AM today, February 1st at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel.
