Lubbock with his wife in 2005 from Hurst, TX. Pete was born and raised in
Merkel, married his wife Keller Deene “Dinky” Roberts Johnson in 1953 and
graduated from Texas Tech College in 1955. He served in the Korean conflict
and was discharged in 1962 as a 1st Lieutenant after also serving in the
reserves. He was a salesman working for Western Auto, Zenith and retiring from
Whirlpool.
Pete is survived by his daughter, Karen King of Lubbock.
Graveside services will be held at the Merkel Cemetery this week.
