

Mrs. Chambliss was born February 10, 1933 in Belzoni, Mississippi to Clarence Odell Bradley and Bessie Brown Bradley. She was a homemaker and a member of Lumberton Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Family, friends, and flower gardening was most important to her. She will be sorely missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry E. Davis; her second husband, James Oliver Chambliss; one son, Billy Hurst; three grandchildren, Gavin Wayne Davis, Rick Davis, Cade Chambliss; one brother, Clarence Odell Bradley, Jr.; and two sisters, Lois Brand and Virginia Jones.
Family members include nine children, Jerry Wayne (Nera) Davis, June (L.H.) Ladner, Donald (Neese) Lynn Davis, James (Gay) Chambliss, Jr., Jan (the late Al) Grob, Arthur (Darlene) Hurst, Michael (Robin) Hurst, Melissa Chambliss (Brad) Crochet, Sandy Chambliss (Lloyd) Thompson; twenty six grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, extended family; and a very special friend, Bobbie Carr.
Funeral services will be held at Lumberton Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Lumberton City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Justin Ladner, Jacob Byrd, Luke Byrd, Logan Byrd, Austin Taylor, and Michael Hanna. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Barske.
