George Edward Carr

George Edward Carr passed away at the age of 83 on Saturday, April 4, 2026. He was a loving and loyal husband to his wife Elizabeth of 45 years he loved his wife with all of his heart. George was a father, friend and grandfather who would do anything for his family. He was a good man and hard worker who was as stubborn as he was loyal. George had a lifetime career, over 60 years in construction building bridges. He loved everyone in his family and loved spending quality time with them. Family was everything to George. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Carr; parents, Hebert and Margaret Carr and one grandson, Buddy Ray Carr.

Left to forever cherish George's memory, one son, Marvin Carr; two grandchildren, Star Carr and James Carr and two great-grandchildren, Landyn Malone and Corbyn Malone.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for George at Carr Cemetery, 36 Ryals Road, Lumberton, Mississippi 39455, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 for 1:00 p.m.
