Barbara Davis Dawson, 62, of Rustburg passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Jesse David Jones. Born July 2, 1957, in Farmville, she was the daughter of the late Dan S. Davis and the late Mary Wood Stone.
Barbara was a nurse’s aide for the Central Virginia Training Center, where she worked for 19.5 years. She also worked several years at Campbell County Transportation, and a member of Women of the Moose for 9 years.
Barbara is also survived by her son, David A. Dudley of Rustburg; and other loving members, including her cousins, Cheryl J. Whitehurst and George A. Joly, Jr.
The family would like to like to give a special recognition to Jetta, Angela, Pam, her RN’s and Asia with Centra Hospice; and a special friend Mary Pannell from Appomattox Adult Care Home Health for the love and compassion they gave.
A graveside service will be conducted 2pm, Sunday, February 16, 2020, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Appomattox, VA, with the Rev. Ron Davidson officiating. There will be no visitation hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Campbell County Humane Society.
