Born on December 4, 1942 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Howell and Virginia Spencer.
Barbara played an active role in the community serving as team mom and organizing fundraisers for 20 years with the Little League Sports, for both football and baseball
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard D. Spencer.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Edward; sons, David Fulcher and wife, Donna, and John Fulcher and wife, Monica; her daughter, Tamara Bolling and husband, Darren; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Wayne Spencer and wife, Judy; and sister, Shirley Hartless.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. There will be no formal service. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
