

Born on March 29, 1951 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Merle O. Twilligear and Marilyn O. Twilligear.
Barbara was a culinary virtuoso whose passion for cooking and entertaining left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Barbara, an accomplished and trained chef, dedicated her career to the culinary arts. Her love for food extended beyond the professional realm, as she found immense joy in creating delicious meals for her loved ones. Prior to retirement, Barbara generously shared her culinary expertise by teaching classes at Job Corps, leaving a lasting impact on aspiring chefs.
Barbara’s vibrant and sociable nature was truly infectious. A social butterfly, she effortlessly lit up any room with her warm smile and laughter. Her love for friendly competition shone through in spirited board game nights, where she played with contagious enthusiasm that brought people together. At the heart of Barbara’s hospitality was her love for entertaining. Friends were welcomed into her home with open arms, greeted by an opulent spread of food that bore witness to her culinary mastery. A connoisseur of good wine, Barbara knew how to turn a simple gathering into a memorable celebration of laughter, friendship and exquisite flavors.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Steven D. Ladd; her children, Phoenix D. Ladd and Ryan D. Ladd; grandchildren, Hunter, Asher, Sariah, Ronin, Gavin and Caiden; brothers Glen Twilligear, Douglas Twilligear and Scott Twilligear; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
