

Born March 30, 1939 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Ernest A. and Mary Creasy Wade. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and he retired after a long time employment at G.E. and Ericsson. Mr. Wade was a member of Rock Haven Ministries.
Mr. Wade is also preceded in death by sisters, Jane Nell Wilson, Patsy Carol Tyler; and brother, Winston A. Wade.
In addition to his wife Carolyn he is survived by sons, Adam T. Wade of Fla., Linwood L. Adkins and wife, Melissa of Rustburg; daughters, Anita Semmont, of Bedford, Debbie Bryan and husband, Raymond of Lowry, Cynthia Spencer and husband, Michael of Forest; brothers, Ronald E. Wade Sr. and wife, Arlene of Evington, Bobby M.Wade and wife Mary, of Kansas; and 9 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Wayne Comer. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park with military honors by American Legion Post #16.
The family will receive friends Friday March 18, 2011 from 7-8:00 at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Mrs. Carolyn Wade.
