Collin Dale Rice, eight month old son of Misty Dawn Thacker and Jonathan Lee Rice, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the U.V.A. Medical Center. Collin was born in Charlottesville on July 5, 2015.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Renee Sigmon and Jesse Arlene Rice; his grandparents, James and Deborah Cox of Evington, Wanda Rice of Hurt, and Robbie Rice of West Virginia and many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Miear officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will also receive friends after 5:00 p.m., Friday, at the home of James and Deborah Cox in Evington.
