Cynthia Baber Duck

Born May 4, in Lynchburg, Cynthia was the daughter of the late Richard Burke Baber and Thelma Flowers Baber and was also preceded in death by her son, Carlton A. Duck, Jr. Cynthia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Pastor’s wife. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Dearing and her husband Andrew, who was like a son to her, of Glasgow; two sisters, Darlene Barrett and husband Jim of Murrels Inlet, SC and Rhonda Ramsey and husband William of Forest; a brother, Richard Baber, Jr. and wife Jackie of Florida and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist Church and other times at 301 Jefferson Woods Drive, Forest, VA.

A service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Pastor Carlton A. Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church, 411 Blue Ridge Street, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
