Dennis Wayne Montgomery

Born on December 14, 1954, Dennis was the son of the late Elbert S. Montgomery and Margorie C. Montgomery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Montgomery, and a very special and close brother-in-law, Fred Brooks.

Dennis retired as a machinist from Rock Tenn, where he dedicated many years of hard work. He found his greatest joy outdoors, especially fishing—often alongside his beloved brother-in-law, Fred. Dennis loved being in the woods, living life in the mountains, and embracing the freedom of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed riding his side-by-side and making the most of mountain living, always appreciating the simple pleasures that came with it.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Yvonne Montgomery; his daughter, Cynthia Woodall (Jason); his stepdaughter, Lisa Statler (Christian); his sister, LaNell Brooks; and his five cherished grandchildren, Kayleigh Manley, Keri Manley, Jaxxon Woodall, Madline Munhall, and Olivia Munhall.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, all services will remain private.
