Dorothy Roloff Trinkner

4 January, 19255 November, 2019

Dorothy Mae (Roloff) Trinkner, of Moneta, Virginia, daughter of the late Emma and Gustave Roloff, was born January 4, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, and peacefully departed this life on November 5, 2019 at Runk & Pratt Assisted Living, Hardy, VA accompanied by family. She was united in matrimony to Howard William Trinkner, who preceded her in death on September 3, 2010 after 65 years of marriage. Dorothy is lovingly remembered as continually throughout her entire life, showing the highest degree of kindness to all persons, and all creatures, great and small. Her generous smile radiated the love in her heart for her family, friends, and those in need. She was a lifetime caregiver, most notably, along with her husband, and in addition to their own children, providing a loving start to the lives of over 20 newborn foster babies until their adoptive parents resumed this privilege. Many animals, both planned for and stray, were also welcome at the family mini-farm in Brecksville, Ohio where her children describe life as being idyllic. Dorothy’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by children, Judy (Russell) Johnson of Moneta, VA, Gail (Ronald–deceased) Gawor of Moneta, VA and Southport, NC, and Gary (Roseanne) Trinkner of North Royalton, OH. Cherished were her grandchildren, Jennifer (Brett) Mock, Christopher (Angela) Trinkner, Jacqueline (Robert) Jones, Brandt (Jessica) Gawor, Megan (Benjamin) Hahn, and Jessica (Steve) Miles. Their great-grandmother will always be devotedly and lovingly remembered by Grace Gawor, Braden, Hannah, and Haley Hahn, Zachary, Benjamin, and Ryan Jones, Jonathon and Jacob Miles, Sarah, Ashlee and Anna Kate Mock, and Rebecca Trinkner. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at EastLake Community Church, 1118 Hendricks Store Road, Moneta, VA 24121. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Franklin County Humane Society/Planned Pethood Clinic and Adoption Center, 18401 Virgil H.
