Born on January 11, 1949, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Benjamin F. Howard and Mary L. Howard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James A. Howard, Roger F. Howard and Benjamin F. Howard; one sister, Audrey M. Howard; and a nephew Justin S. Howard.
He was a lover of jigsaw puzzles, crosswords and word searches. He enjoyed all of the activities at Liberty Ridge especially BINGO and trivia and even earned the nickname “Mr. Trivia” from other residents. He was an avid reader, chess player and stamp collector. Even though he didn’t live in Baltimore very long, he was a lifelong Baltimore sports fan and loved keeping up with the teams. He was a lover of movies, cartoons and old music and was particular about listening to the original singers and versions of the older songs—he wasn’t a fan of remakes. He worked at Charley's Restaurant prior to his retirement and was known for his famous Watergate cake. He was a founding member of Fort Avenue Church of Christ.
He is survived by his two brothers, Robert (Jack) Howard and Maxwell (Mack) Howard; a loving and devoted sister-in-law Sybil Nicely; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
