Elizabeth Shaw Bawtinhimer, 91, of Rustburg, passed away, Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Earl Stewart Bawtinhimer. Born January 16, 1923, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold Edward Shaw and the late Elsie Griner Shaw.
Mrs. Bawtinhimer was a homemaker and a member Open Door Baptist Church, Richmond, VA, but attended Thomas Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bawtinhimer is survived by her children, Martha B. Hagner (Ralph) of Rustburg, Bonnie B. Conley (Ronald) of Evington, Diana B. Bridgers of Smithfield, David S. Bawtinhimer (Jennifer) of West Lake, OH, Rebecca B. Woodby (Mark) of Solon, OH and Jonathan E. Bawtinhimer (Tarilynn) of Orlando, FL; fourteen grandchildren, Jarad, Kyle, Ethan, Nathan, Amber, Christy, Lindsay, McKenzie, Isaac, Joshua, Caleb, Andrew, Margaret and Mason; nine great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Richard Dillon (Joan).
A memorial service will be conducted, 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Thomas Road Baptist Church-Pate Chapel with the Rev. Fred Gray officiating.
