Beth, it’s hard to believe you’ve been gone from this earthly plane for a whole year. You were such a special person, and I always believed our paths would cross again. Thank you for everything. I’m so grateful to still feel your love and encouragement, though I wish more than anything it could be in person. You had so much more to offer the world, and I looked forward to the day we would reconnect. Wishing peace to your thoughtful soul and comfort to all your loved ones.

Remembering all year long how she was so inspiring to others. We miss her.

I was one of Beth’s friends during our early years at Virginia Tech. From the moment we met, she was a radiant force in our circle, a bright star that everyone naturally gravitated toward. She had this rare energy, like the spark of celebration itself, making every gathering feel alive and unforgettable.
There was something about her,  something not easily captured in words, more a feeling that would wash over you just by being in her presence. Beth had this light. She lit up every room, effortlessly.
Our conversations, her laughter, her spirit, I miss all of it deeply. She had a beautiful mystery about her, like a story you could never fully read, but were always drawn to keep turning the pages. You always wanted to know her more.
When I heard of her passing, I broke down. My wife saw me crying and asked what was wrong. I told her. She paused for a moment, then simply said, “Oh… I understand.”
