Elizabeth, better known as “B” to her family and friends, was the most kind-hearted, generous, hardworking, loving, witty, and nurturing mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She dedicated most of her life working to make the lives of the elderly easier through reacclimating them to the workforce, helping them gain independent living and assisting with their daily needs.
She was a true treasure and made significant impact to the lives of everyone she worked with. She held a passion for gardening and loved sitting outside enjoying the sunlight and nature around her. Her love of animals surrounded her throughout her life with the rescuing, rehabilitation, and care of many.
Elizabeth was the proud matriarch of her family and the glue that held them all together. She will continue to live on through her children and grandchildren and will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Elizabeth is survived by her three children: Mark (Hanh) Abbott, Faith Robertson, and Ian (Kaitlyn) Robertson, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, her sister Margaret, her brother Jack, her ex-husband Eugene Abbott, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Marion Basham, her ex-husband George Robertson, and her sister-in-law Jane Lynch Jordan.
To fulfill Elizabeth’s wishes, formal services will not be held, and her immediate family will observe this time to celebrate her life privately.
