He was also preceded in death by a son, Ernest Dwayne Hall; three brothers, Russell Hall, Roy Hall, and Rufus Hall; and three sisters, Mae McFadden, Mary Brooks, and Lucille Lynch.

He was retired from Griffin Pipe and Foundry Co., and was a member of Fairview Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherri H. Amos, of Gaithersburg, MD; his son, Steven E. Hall, of Rustburg; his ex-wife, Phyllis Bowles Hall, of Lynchburg; four siblings, Daniel B. Hall and wife Lenora, Delores H. Farris and husband Wallace, both of Lynchburg, Erlene H. Morris and husband Linwood, of Madison Heights, and Wilmuth H. Nicholas, of Richmond; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 7-8:30 pm at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Spring Hill Cemetery, by the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton.
