Eunice Marie Ramsey

Born January 28, 1932, Eunice was someone who was known for her absolute love of her family and those around her. Family was something she thoroughly enjoyed through and through, and she used to look forward to her phone calls from her siblings before they passed. Eunice was also known as someone who enjoyed her sweets and would sneak them whenever she got the chance. In her younger days she was known to partake in creating ceramics with her family and creating unique pieces. She will be missed by all those who knew her.

In addition to her parents Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Huela C. Ramsey, Sr.; her children Huela C. Ramsey, Jr., Dennis W. Ramsey, Rita G. Patterson; and her siblings James Austin, Eula Irene Creasey, Pat Pauley, Red Austin, Joe Austin, James Austin and Irene Creasy.

Those left to cherish Eunice’s memory include her son Mark A. Ramsey and his wife Shirley; daughter-in-law Betty Ramsey; her eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will have a celebration of Eunice’s life on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1pm at Thomas Terrace Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Mark Grooms with a graveside to follow at Falling River Church Cemetery in Brookneal. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
