She was born in Lynchburg Virginia on November 1, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Joe Thomas Jones and Frances Lee Tucker Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Thomas Jones who passed away in 1983; brother, Grady Lee Jones, sister-in-law, Priscilla Jones; and her devoted friend, Judith O. Holdren.
She is survived by her nephews, Samuel E. Jones, Brian W. Jones and Barry L. Jones; and devoted friends and caregivers, Arvid Holdren, James Rose and Karen Spangler - who were all dearly loved and appreciated by Fay.
A graveside inurnment will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
