Frances Wilson Rogers

Born April 23, 1937 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. Wilson and Madie Brooks Wilson and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Wilson and Marvin Wilson and two sisters, Gladys Hanks and Virginia Shepherd. She retired from C.V.S. Pharmacy after 42 years of service.

Frances is survived by one brother, Clyde (Tiny) Wilson; two sisters, Louise Palmateer and Carol W. Downes, who along with Frances were known to the family as the “Golden Girls”; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a longtime friend, Daniel McClelland.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Gary Vernon officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the funeral home and other times at the home of her sister, Louise.
