
Gladys “Irene” Culler Wilson, 91, of Lynchburg, died, Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Clyde Ledger Wilson, Sr. Born March 30, 1921, in Boone, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Emmett Culler and the late Gredos Isaacs Culler.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a member of In His Hands Ministry.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by one brother, Arvell Ben Culler and two sisters, Virginia C. Green and Jean C. Cyrus.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by five children, Barbara W. Jamerson and her husband James of Hurt, Clyde “Bud” L. Wilson, Jr. and his wife Rosemary of Lynchburg. Ronnie Wilson and his wife Bobbi of St. Cloud, FL, David Wilson and his wife Melinda of Altavista and Jeff Wilson and his wife Cathy of Appomattox; foster daughter, Shirley Saylor of Williamsburg; two sisters, Joyce C. Neighbors and her husband Walter of Lynchburg and Margaret C. Ottinger of Florida; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2012, at Virginia Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Stewart Mitchell.
The family will receive friends, 2-4 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residence of Bud and Rosemary Wilson.
