Glenda McFaden Tyree

Born in Lynchburg, May 19, 1951, she was a daughter of Laymond E. McFaden of Bedford and the late Peggy Pillow McFaden. She was retired from Amerisource and was a member of the River Church. Glenda loved her family; she enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by one daughter, Renee Tyree Casto and her husband Shawn of Forest; one son, A. Scott Tyree of Lynchburg; a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Tyree; one sister, Deborah Durden of Darlington, SC; her mother-in-law, Lucille S. Tyree of Lynchburg; three grandchildren Logan Casto, Robert Tyree and Morgan Tyree; special friend Bridgett Bond and her children, Katie Neal, T.J. Neal and Brie Neal and her precious Maltese, Frankie.

A service celebrating Glenda’s life will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. today, August, 31, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Danny Smith and his wife Gail officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m.

The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the nurses and staff of Centra Hospice, Dr. Cecilia MacCallum and Dr. Shawn and Selena Hayes and the entire staff of the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center for the wonderful care and attention they provided.
