I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Helmuth.  I had the pleasure of knowing him and Trudy through St. Thomas More, and it was always such a joy to see them at Saturday Liturgy.   They were truly a beautiful couple, in so many ways, but you could tell how devoted they were to each other.  I know Helmuth missed Trudy so very much after her passing,  but he is now rejoined with her and our Lord in their heavenly home.

I met Helmuth and his wife at St. Thomas More in Lynchburg several years ago.  We used to attend the same Mass on Saturday evening.  He took such good care of Mrs. Krippl and his love and devotion to her was so obvious.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  I know the few months before his death were difficult for him physically but he still made it to Mass almost every Saturday night.  He was always dressed so well and had the most beautiful smile.  We will miss him at St. Thomas More but I know he is happy in heaven with his beloved wife and the Lord.

Onkel Helmuth had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. I have fond memories of spending many holidays with him and Tante Trudy whether it was at their house for Christmas in Fort Lee, NJ or Easter in Virginia.  Warmth , laughter and the smell of Tante Trudy's good cooking filled every room.  Onkel Helmuth was a true hunter/outdoorsman who found peace in the quiet of nature, whether he was out hunting at dawn, tending to his hay fields or simply taking care of  his animals. He so very much loved his cows and horses and his dog Maxi!  His farm was a place of wonder and learning . It was there that I first sat atop a horse and learned to ride, how to milk a cow and it was there that I learned how to fish and to skate across the frozen pond. All beautiful memories that I will treasure always. He was handsome and a very strong person, not just physically but honest to the core and lived his life with integrity, hard work and a deep sense of fairness.  His lessons, his laughter and his love will stay with all of us always.  We will truly miss him.  Rest in heavenly peace Onkel Helmuth!

Helmuth was a sincere, ambitious and honorable man. He saw that his new country was a land of opportunity where a person that works hard could succeed and accomplish most of his wishes and dreams. He was also fortunate to find a wife Trudy Jacklitsch Krippl and a new family that was willing to support him in every effort. He worked very hard and was successful to accomplish most of his wishes and dreams. Not only was he a trained butcher but also a part owner of the Forest Pork Store Company where he managed and ran the Forest Pork Store in Huntington, NY for many years.  At the same time he purchased a large beautiful property in Medusa, NY. This was his pride and joy maintaining and running a farm with horses and cattle. He worked very hard  on this farm and in the butcher stores and loved it.  He loved his family, loved his married family and was always a very  optimistic man. He will truly be missed by his family and friends!  May he Rest in Peace.
