

Born on September 6, 1933, in Evington, she was the daughter of the late John Parker and Fay Pribble Parker.
Irma retired from Krogers, after 17 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, spending time with her family, and her church. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five siblings.
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by her children, JD Ore and wife, Angelus, Ginger McAlister and husband, Ricky, Cindi Cole and husband, Tommy, and Terry Ore; six grandchildren, Chris Ore and wife Shannon, Bryan McAlister, Kyle Cole and wife Dana, Cody Cole, Faith Dudley and husband Steve, and Kelli Arrington and husband David; five great-grandchildren, Christina Burch, Baughan Ore, Katherine Ore, Olivia Arrington, and Justin Arrington; brothers, Johnny Parker and Steve Parker; sister, Sylvia Kidd; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the west wing staff at Lynchburg Health and Rehab for their wonderful care and support during her illness.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Salem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Schooler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
