
Born January 27, 1930 in Williamstown, West Virginia he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Dorothy Abel Anderson. Jack was a graduate of the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio, a U.S. Marine Veteran, and he was employed by the Babcock & Wilcox Company in Barberton, Ohio and transferred in 1969 to Lynchburg. He retired in 1992.
In addition to his wife June, he is survived by son Michael J. Anderson and his wife, Deborah of Richmond; daughter, Christine H. Romano of Roanoke; grandchildren, Brett Trey and Brooke Anderson, Sean Romano; sister Sue Ann Anderson of St. Petersburg, Florida and her three children Anders, Dorothy, and Karen.
Jack was an expert marksman including both trap shooting and pistol, he enjoyed wood working, cooking, exercising and traveling.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Suitt officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
