He was born on March 8, 1941 in Campbell County, son of the late James and Virginia Hendrick.
Jimmy was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Sears. He loved to travel, especially spending time at Myrtle Beach and Shenandoah Crossing.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean C. Martin.
He is survived by his son, Mark E. Hendricks and wife Ellen; brothers, Roy Lee Hendrick and R. Mike Hendricks and wife Gwen; sister, Peggy H. Tomlinson and husband Owen and 1 grandson, Tyler Hendricks. Survivors also include his special friends and neighbors, John and Linda Wright.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Reggie Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
