James Wilson Martin, 69, of Rustburg passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at his residence. He was the husband of Shirley Terrell Martin. Born January 3, 1949, in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Steve and Evelyn Martin.
James was a service technician for Spirit Gas Station. He was a loving son, husband, brother, stepfather and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his stepchildren, Jeannie Torrents of Rustburg, Joyce Fisher (James) of Lynchburg and Peter Goodbar (Sheila) of Rustburg; five siblings, Minnie Tomlin of Madison Heights, Steve Martin (Mary) of Amherst, Patrick “Bo” Martin of Lynchburg, David Lee Martin of Amherst and Clayton Martin of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
