James Rodney Scruggs, 72, of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018, at his residence. Born November 23, 1945, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Rodney Scruggs and the late Algie Thacker Scruggs.
James was a retired truck driver for J.B. Moore Air Freight Company.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by one daughter, Karla Isbill.
James is survived by his love and soulmate, Sandra Turner of Lynchburg; two children, Rodney Lee Scruggs and his fiancée Brooke Harvey of Melbourne, FL and Cheryl Elizabeth Scruggs of Lovingston; two sisters, Beatrice Arrington and her husband Dennie of Lynchburg and Frances Coleman of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Joshua Isbill of Pulaski, Allison Isbill of Pulaski and Addison Scruggs of Melbourne, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miller Home or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
