OBITUARY

Jessica Cheyenne Williams

9 July, 2000 – 11 February, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Whitten Timberlake Chapel

Jessica Cheyenne Williams-Sharp, 23, passed away peacefully at her home in Lynchburg, Virginia on February 11, 2024.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse; her three-year-old daughter Shawna; both her parents, Chris and Cathy; her sisters, Sara and Jarré; her grandfathers, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and extended family throughout Virginia.

She was born on July 9, 2000, to Chris and Cathy Williams, and was the youngest of their three daughters. Raised in Chatham, Virginia, she graduated in 2018 from Chatham High School. At any given time, she could be found volunteering at the local animal shelter, walking dogs, and walking around town with her friends.

While helping to care for her grandmother in California, Jessie convinced her Poppop to volunteer with her at the Sacramento Animal shelter, where Poppop still remains a fixture on the volunteer staff and board. To say Jessie simply loved animals is a severe understatement. More accurate is that she loved, cared for, and treated the pets in her care better than most, if not all, people.

Jessie and her sister, Jarré also bonded during their middle and high school years over ballet. Together, they were able to express through movement and dance the feelings they were not able to put into words. Without ever stepping foot into a formal studio, Jessie worked her way into buying her own pointe shoes. These numerous hours exemplify her perseverance and dedication to those things which she truly desired to do.

From high school, Jessie moved to Lynchburg, Virginia to pursue college; however, she found that the best school for her was “the real world.” Already climbing the ranks at Chipotle, she started fresh at Jersey Mike’s. It was during this time that she met her husband, Jesse Sharp. While he would move on to other positions, Jessie instead continued climbing at Jersey Mike’s, and became one of the youngest managers in one of the busiest stores. Next goal? Rule the world!

In 2020, she and Jesse gave birth to their daughter, Shawna Elizabeth. They were married on June 27, 2021. During this time, she also began taking classes toward a degree in business. She had so much she wanted to achieve, and she knew she possessed the determination to fulfill her dreams.

It is with profound sorrow that we mourn her passing, but with great joy that we share the impact she made in only 23 years.

Please, feel free to post memories, photos, etc. on this memorial and on her Facebook page so we might all share her character, celebrate her life, and remember her together.
