

John “Jack” Davidson Campbell, Jr., 65, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his residence, after a short battle with cancer. He was the husband of Jessica Beth Campbell.
Born November 17, 1950 in Richmond, he was the son of John Davidson Campbell, Sr.
of Charleston, WV and the late Edna Christine Balsley Martin. Jack was a retired machinist with Herbs, Inc. and was a U.S. Army veteran. Jack was a UVA fan through and through and he enjoyed golfing and singing.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by two daughters, Toni Wright (Jimmy) of Madison Heights and Kelly Metz (Dustin) of Clayton, NC; three sons, Casey Campbell (April), Logan Campbell (Amanda Burks), and Jacob Campbell, all of Lynchburg; a step son, Caleb Hills, also of Lynchburg; two brothers, Warren Campbell (Sharon) of Millsboro, DE, Michael Campbell (Doc Winston) of Venice, FL; two sisters, Andrea Romaker (Roger) of Warrenton, MO and Julie Scott (Kevin) of Lynchburg; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life service with military honors by American Legion Post 16 will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Celebrant Carol Tyree officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
