Born in Prince Edward County, May 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Greene and Illa May Lucille Finchum Greene. He was retired from General Electric. He was an avid collector, loved going to flea markets, and enjoyed playing Bingo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Stinnett Greene; one daughter, Joanne Wagner; two sons, Joseph Greene, Jr. and Robert Greene and his K-9 companion Poncho.
Survivors include one daughter; one sister, Connie Haak; one brother, Paul Greene seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
